Sunny Deol delivered a big blockbuster with Gadar 2 after decades and then he chose to reunite with his most successful director Rajkumar Santhoshi. The combination who delivered Ghayal, Damini, Ghatak kind of action blockbusters are back for Batwara 1947 in Aamir Khan production.

The teaser talks about the horrors of facing the partition in 1947. Coinciding with Partition Day, the movie is releasing on 14th August. While the frames are rich and cinematography is good, the loud Gadar style Sunny Deol performance is back in this too. Rajkumar Santhoshi style talking and AR Rahman score are exciting though.

Aamir Khan's voice over and entire setting intrigue but the action setting against communal violence, does make it a been-there-seen-that film. Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi does sell the fear perfectly. Without falling too much into traps of commercial loudness, if the film delivers Legend of Bhagat Singh kind of emotional narrative then it would be one cinematic experience to not miss.
